Welcome to Clayways

Tucked away as a calm, creative little space, Clayways is somewhere you can slow down, switch off, and make something with your hands that means something.

Whether you’re completely new to pottery or you’ve had a go before, you’ll find a warm welcome here. There’s no pressure, no rush, and definitely no expectation to be “good” at it. We give you the  time, space, and plenty of encouragement to enjoy the process.

Our studio is small and friendly, with just a handful of people in each session, so it never feels busy or overwhelming. You’ll have access to everything you need, along with gentle guidance from experienced potters who are always happy to help (or leave you to it if you’re in the flow).

People come to Clayways for all sorts of reasons; to try something new, to have a bit of time for themselves, to make thoughtful gifts, or simply to enjoy a few hours doing something creative and grounding.

However you arrive, you’ll leave with something you’ve made with your own hands, new friends and usually a big smile too.
