Why people choose Clayways
Small groups, real support
With no more than six in a workshop, it's easier to ask for help when you need it.
Make the piece you want
We help you shape your own idea instead of steering everyone towards one set design.
More than classes
You can learn, buy handmade pottery, or commission a ceramic gift from one studio.
A pottery studio where you make, not just paint
We're Clayways, a pottery studio in Nantwich where you can learn by making, not by copying a painted example. If you're new to clay or picking it up again after years away, we'll guide you through the steps and help you develop a piece you genuinely want to make.
Across our workshops, beginner sessions, wheel throwing, slab building and one to one tuition, we keep the teaching practical, friendly and focused on the progress you can see with your own hands.

Testimonials
Having tried wheel throwing before without any success I was a little doubtful that I’d get the better of it. An afternoon with Tracy in her lovely studio and actually got it. Absolute delighted and looking forward to learning much more at Clayways. Fab teacher, lovely venue and such fun.🤩
