Welcome to Clayways!

My name is Tracy Cross, and I’m excited to invite you to our small garden studio, nestled in the beautiful Cheshire countryside.

Located in Aston near Nantwich, our studio offers a peaceful escape where you can immerse yourself in the art of pottery, surrounded by stunning views and fresh country air.

My journey with ceramics began in school, where I first discovered the joy of working with clay. Although life took me into a successful career in marketing, my passion for pottery never faded. After years on the corporate treadmill, I decided to follow my heart and return to what truly brings me joy. For the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of teaching pottery in various studios, and now I’m thrilled to share my own space with others who love creativity as much as I do.

At Clayways, my goal is to help you experience the joy of creating with your own hands. Whether you’re a seasoned potter or a complete beginner, you’ll find a welcoming and supportive community here.

Things to Note:

I am sharing my own garden studio. The toilet is in my own home and whilst we are on flat ground it doesn’t offer simple wheelchair access.  If you would like to attend with a wheelchair get in touch with me and we can make arrangements to make you feel welcomed and safe. 

We also have a very friendly dog called Indie on site. If you are not a dog lover I can keep her inside my home for the duration of your workshop so if you would like me to do that, please let me know. 

We have two cats also but they are very likely to keep themselves out of our way 🙂
